Shipment Monitoring

The Xsense® Shipment Monitoring module is a robust solution for monitoring conditions of perishables capable of handling a wide variety of scenarios.  Xsense® technology has been used to monitor shipments by air, sea, rail, and road.  Scenarios covered include international and intranational shipments, short-distance (last mile), and shipments with 3rd parties.

Typical goods monitored include: fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, chocolate, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, frozen items, pharmaceuticals, greens including cannabis and flowers, bio-solutions, and biological-products like blood.

How It Works

  • Dataloggers are placed within (HiTag™), on top of (cellular real-time), or on (HiTags™, BLE, or USB) the perishables.
  • Dataloggers are associated with the items to be monitored.
  • A shipment is defined in Xsense® Cloud.
  • When real-time readings are available, interested parties are alerted to issues in real-time. When real-time readings are not available, users are alerted to issues as soon as the readings are available.
  • As the goods arrive at the intermediary or final destination (such as a DC, warehouse, or port) interested users are automatically notified about the progress of their shipments.
